Abbreviations Defined Two Ways

Explanation

PerfectIt checks if an abbreviation has been defined in two different ways.

Example

If the abbreviation ‘ITT’ is defined in one location as ‘Invitation to Tender’ and in another location as ‘International Trade Team’, PerfectIt will suggest that there is an error.

Suggestion

To avoid confusion, an abbreviation should have only one definition. One of the two meanings should be spelled out in full each time. If this is not corrected, PerfectIt will not be able to distinguish between the different meanings in subsequent checks.
